The Morris Township Fire Department consists of five (5) volunteer fire companies, the Fairchild Fire Company was established as the 5th and last volunteer fire company in April 1927 as Engine Company #4.
Fairchild Fire Company is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the our volunteer members who protect Morris Township and its residents and visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Outside of supporting Morris Township through fire suppression and vehicle rescue services, Fairchild Fire Company engages with the community through supporting local sports teams, organizing and running community events, assisting in charitable events, and member support programs.
The Fairchild Fire Company operates Fire and Rescue Apparatus funded and purchased by the Township of Morris to preform duties in Fire Suppression and Vehicle Rescue Services. Fairchild Fire Company currently operates one (1) of five (5) Township Engine Companies, one (1) of two (2) Township Ladder/Truck Companies, and the only Heavy Rescue in the Township of Morris.
About the Fairchild Fire Company
The Fairchild Fire Company responds First Due to Rose Arbor, Fairchild, Butterworth, The Summit, Bradford Estates, Sussex Avenue, Frelinghuysen Middle School, Alfred Vail School, St. Virgils School and many other businesses, neighborhoods and county facilities. We also respond mutual aid to Morristown, Morris Plains, Hanover Township, Parsippany, Denville, Mendham Township, Randolph, New Vernon, Chatham Township, and Greystone Park.
